Drive belts are core power transmission components for automobiles and industrial machinery. Regular timely replacement is critical to prevent sudden equipment shutdowns, vehicle breakdowns and unnecessary economic losses.
Different types of drive belts have distinct service life and replacement cycles, which vary based on application scenarios, operating intensity and working environment.
Timing Belt
It is recommended to replace it every 60,000 to 100,000 kilometers for vehicles. For industrial equipment, replace it after 2 to 3 years of regular use. Delayed replacement easily causes engine damage and equipment paralysis.
V-Belt & Multi-Ribbed Belt
General replacement cycle ranges from 40,000 to 80,000 kilometers, or 3 to 5 service years. Frequent high-load operation and high-temperature surroundings will shorten its usable time obviously.
Judgment Signs for Urgent Replacement
Visible cracks, surface aging, abnormal wear, slipping noise and loose tension all mean the belt has reached the service limit. Do not continue operation.
Reasonable arrangement of belt replacement can effectively cut failure risks, stabilize equipment operation and save maintenance and downtime costs in the long run.
