Does frequent PK belt cracking, slippage or sudden breakage bring unexpected downtime to your production line? Constant belt replacement never solves the root problem, and improper craft instead of wrong model is usually to blame.
Most conventional PK belts are made via layered vulcanization: rubber sheets, core cords and cover rubber are stacked separately, vulcanized in tanks and then machined into V-ribs. This traditional craft has three inherent drawbacks:
First, splicing joints exist on cords and rubber layers, which become the weakest spot prone to break under load.
Second, adhesive layers fail to integrate entirely. After repeated bending, stretching and heat exposure, delamination and rib peeling happen easily.
Third, rough post-grinding leads to big tolerances on rib angle and pitch. Poor matching with pulleys causes slipping, vibration and abnormal wear.
Our factory adopts advanced one-piece compression molding. Formulated EPDM rubber and high-strength aramid cords are loaded into precision molds and integrally vulcanized under high temperature and pressure. Zero splices and zero adhesive interfaces make rubber and cords perfectly bonded. The belt stays intact after heavy bending with uniform tension across the whole body, while precise mold forming guarantees consistent dimension, perfect pulley fit and no slippage.
We have done a simple bending test: ordinary layered belt develops dense cracks after folding 10 times, yet our molded PK belt remains flawless after 30 repeated folds.
Our EPDM compound withstands continuous working temperature up to 125°C with outstanding ozone and aging resistance to avoid hardening & cracking in hot environments. Every finished belt goes through strict full inspection including dimension check, tension test and appearance screening before delivery.
